Theory:

This design is an electrical 1/2 wavelength dipole antenna. The wire shorts out when inside the reel, so that it does not form an inductor. This means that the operating frequency is determined by how far the wires are pulled out and secured.

The wires are labeled at 9 points along each wire for HF operation and the 6 meter VHF band. They are supported at the middle and the end of each wire.

The Model PRA2 can be configured as horizontal or inverted "V" type.
